I am grateful that I have always had Christian Science to rely upon, and it has met my every need when I have rightly applied it. I have been healed of pneumonia and of severe injuries resulting from falling down stairs. I have found right employment, recovered lost articles, and proved adequate supply. There have been many other evidences that God governs, guards, and guides.
Our small son was healed of tuberculosis of the bone after X rays showed a portion of his heel bone had completely deteriorated. The doctor making the X rays recommended that the child's foot be amputated to save his life. At this point my husband, who was not a Christian Scientist, humbly turned to Christian Science. The condition was healed. All through this experience the child was a constant inspiration to us because of his trust in God and expectancy of good. He liked to think of God as the Shepherd, and we often heard him singing Mary Baker Eddy's hymn (Christian Science Hymnal, No. 304), " 'Feed My Sheep,'" which begins with the words,
