THEN HEALING CAME
I longed for healing for my child,
(Time-burdened, mesmerized by fear,
serpent-beguiled.)
False sense of love imprisoned us
With self-forged chain.
I sought in body healing's sign,
But looked in vain.
With what a wondrous sense of peace
I turned to God in silent prayer;
Placed His dear child within His arms—
And left him there.
The perfect heir of perfect Love
must sonship claim.
With joy and gratitude I prayed—
Then healing came.
