Mr. Crozier spoke of the fierce competition between truth and falsehood for the minds of men to-day. The great danger which the churches faced was temptation to let things be—the "laissez-faire" attitude....

Millions had decided that no longer will they be excluded from their rightful place. "This is the age of the common man, and any leader who seeks to perpetuate the identification of the Church with outdated privilege and past injustices is only succeeding in making the Gospel unintelligible to the rising peoples," he remarked.
