One day my father, my two brothers, and I went for a ride in the desert. Before long we became stalled in some loose sand. My dad got out of the car and told us to collect some sturdy sticks so we could pry the tire loose and be freed. But this didn't work.
After awhile my dad tried to pry the tire out of the sand. After a few minutes we started the car, but it didn't move. So we sat and thought about the situation for a minute. Then my dad told us to collect a few flat stones. While my brothers and I pried the tire off the ground, my dad slipped the flat stones under the tire. My dad told my brother to get into the car and put his foot on the gas pedal while the rest of us pushed, but this didn't work either.
About this time we thought of putting God first. My father had the Bible and Science and Health in the car. We sat under a large bush and read from the Bible the first six verses of Psalm 91. Our father explained to us what they meant, and we knew that we were abiding "under the shadow of the Almighty."
