In my travels, as well as at home, I could not be without the Christian Science periodicals. They are an important part of my luggage.
In September of 1960. while traveling in Europe. I had a serious accident that injured my foot and ankle. The next morning I was unable to walk. The foot and ankle were swollen and discolored.
Because of our busy schedule something had to be done immediately. First I thought I would call a (Christian Science practitioner for help, but calmly I turned to the Bible and to Science and Health and studied the Lesson-Sermon scheduled for that week. Then I picked up the Sentinel I had with me and started to read it straight through. While I was reading one of the articles, a reference to the aggressive mental suggestions of the carnal mind stood out. With that I bounced out of bed and slipped into narrow satin bedroom slippers and dressed.
Enjoy 1 free Sentinel article or audio program each month, including content from 1898 to today.
