RADIO PROGRAM NO. 281 - The Continuity of God's Law of Healing, Part I

Questioner: Many people, including those who are sick and want to be healed, read the Bible and the healings it records. Why doesn't the mere use of the Bible result in healing?

Speaker: Well, I think the individual who turns to the Bible expectantly and prayerfully does find enlightenment, guidance, and protection. It's very important, it seems to me, to see that the Bible is not just a lovely piece of literature but that it's really an instruction manual in thinking, in living, and in healing.

The enlightenment, faith, and understanding that are awakened through prayerful study of the Bible often do bring actual physical healings through spiritual means alone. I think we can't emphasize too much that we can take the Bible as a present help, as an immediate source of instruction. As we become more familiar with and grow in understanding of the spiritual meaning of the Bible teachings, we find more consistent results from their study.
