By his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many (Isa. 53:11)
The central section of the book of Isaiah (Chapters 40 to 55) contains various references to the Messiah of prophecy as a servant. Dummelow notes that "his knowledge" can refer either to the knowledge the servant possesses or to the knowledge of him. The Revised Standard Version translates, "By his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant, make many to be accounted righteous."
In that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious (Isa. 11:10)
