I am especially grateful for Mrs. Eddy's spiritual interpretation of the Lord's Prayer. The healing I am about to relate occurred while I was returning home to California from a business trip to Chicago.

Before boarding the train, I had been troubled with quite a severe lung condition and had done some rather haphazard prayerful work in Christian Science to correct the condition, merely denying the error but not affirming the truth which heals. However, on the last afternoon on the train the condition became much worse, and I asked the porter to prepare my berth just before dinner. As I retired, my lungs began to clog and my breathing became very irregular. I said to myself, "Well, when the train reaches its destination, I doubt if I will be alive to be met by my wife."

Then the thought of the Lord's Prayer came to me. So over and over again I thought through the spiritual interpretation of the prayer given on pages 16 and 17 of the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. How many times I went through it I do not know, but finally light dawned when I came again to this section:
