The right hand of my righteousness (Isa. 41:10)

Whitehouse points out that this phrase found in the original can be more idiomatically rendered "with my victorious right hand,"—the right hand, as in so many Biblical passages, implying "power."

I am the Lord: . . . and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images (Isa. 42:8)
