About eight years ago I expressed gratitude through a testimony in the Sentinel for healings experienced by our children through Christian Science treatment. Since that time I have had a marvelous demonstration of the power of prayer. I have been completely healed of chronic asthma in a very severe form.

Every autumn for five years the attacks recurred. I would immediately call for the prayerful help of a Christian Science practitioner. The work was beneficial and carried me through days and nights spent in bed. Sometimes I would be helpless for a week, better for a few days, and then down again for nearly two months.

At these times my breathing would so alarm the family that a Christian Science nurse would have to be called in. While the nurse was in attendance, expressing the truth or reading from the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, or from her other writings, I would hold on to a statement of truth. Without this aid it would have been quite impossible to carry on.
