I should like to relate a healing which my son experienced as a young boy while still in the elementary grades. Being very active and having a great love of sports, he would quickly eat his lunch during the noon hour at school and immediately proceed to the playground where he played until classes were resumed.

Early one afternoon I was called at my place of work in another town and told that my son had suffered an accident at noon and had been taken to the home of a dear friend who was a Christian Scientist. While running to catch a ball, and concentrating whole-heartedly on this, he had crashed into the brick wall of the school building. He was knocked unconscious, and had a large bump on his head. One side of his face was badly scraped.

I am grateful that I experienced no fear whatever. I remembered part of Mrs. Eddy's definition of "children" as "the spiritual thoughts and representatives of Life, Truth, and Love" (Science and Health, p. 582). I knew that God's children express all good and forever dwell "in the secret place of the most High" (Ps. 91:1). This understanding completely sustained me en route to our friend's home.
