God Always Hears

God is always ready and able to help mankind because God's law of good is ever active and all-powerful. Through the ages false theories about God have duped mankind into believing that the Supreme Being is too busy or preoccupied to help individuals with their daily problems. This is not true, and a correct understanding of God's tender love for His creation shows His aid to be ever available.

The prophet Elijah sought to save his nation from mistaken worship of an unreal deity by challenging the prophets of Baal to give public proof that their prayers were answered. When no answer came despite their frenzied efforts, Elijah emphasized the falsity of their beliefs by saying, "Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked"; but, it is recorded, "there was neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any that regarded." I Kings 18:27, 29;

Then Elijah prayed to the only true God, and immediately his prayer was answered in spectacular proof that good alone is power and that evil claims cannot continue in the presence of good recognized. Thus the people were turned to the rightful worship of one omnipresent God, who answers every call.
