From childhood I suffered from nightmares. They were all similar. In my family, where nothing was known of Christian Science, it was believed that I suffered from the nightmare when I was overtired or troubled.

In my adult life I began to study Christian Science.

I was striving at one time to overcome grief. Before going to bed on a Sunday evening, I had marked in the Bible and in Science and Health the coming week's Lesson-Sermon to have it ready for studying when I awoke the following morning.
