"Such as I have give I thee"
An individual who begs has a dear idea of what he wants to receive. Mortal mind is a beggar. It says in effect: "I am sick, tired, nervous, and afraid. Help me by giving me a pill or a potion, a drink or a smoke."
When mortal mind comes begging, what has a Christian Scientist to give? His cupboard is bare of drugs and alcoholic drinks. Must he therefore turn the suppliant away empty-handed?
Once a beggar crippled from birth asked Peter and John for money. He was turned down. Peter said, "Silver and gold have I none." But Peter didn't stop with this simple No. He went on to say, "Such as I have give I thee." Acts 3:6;
