A College Student Writes
Our Inseparability from Good
A common fear is that human beings can be separated through accident or malevolent design from happiness, health, peace, supply, loved ones, and eventually from life itself. Christian Science shows us how we may overcome this fear, not through faith in a future paradise in which we may be reunited with our happiness but by eliminating the sense of separation here and now with spiritual understanding.
Spiritual understanding involves an acknowledgment of the universe of God, Mind, of His all-perfect ideas as present now and as the only real universe. The consciousness of this ever-present spiritual reality is the kingdom of God abiding within us. In this kingdom, this realm of divine ideas, are to be found spiritual and everlasting happiness, health, peace, supply, and identity, which alone give complete satisfaction.
Man cannot be separated from this kingdom and its satisfactions, for spiritual ideas constitute his very being. Man is not an entity to which health, happiness, and peace are attached, but he includes the very ideas of wholeness, joy, and serenity, emanating from Spirit, God.
