ON THE MOUNT

The loved disciples stood on mountain height,
Watching with awe his face shine as the sun,
His raiment turning white, white as the light
Transfiguring him—the God-anointed one.
The Christ, once more illumined, stands today,
Revealed on Truth's celestial mountain peak.
The wise disciples climb the narrow way
To view the summit's heaven-crowned sight and seek
The healing touch of love-filled ministry.
They build three tabernacles in their hearts,
To truth, to law, to sight prophetically
Endowed by holy thought. All fear departs
As Love speaks from the mountain's cloud-bound rim,
"This is my beloved Son ...: hear ... him."
