Employment for All

Has Christian Science an answer to the problem of unemployment? Indeed it has! It assures its students that all men have equal access to the infinite supply of right ideas emanating from the divine Mind, God. Humanly perceived, these ideas appear as talents, which give to each individual sufficient, profitable, and useful employment.

Christian Science gives us the assurance that there is no situation beyond God's control. Accordingly, Mrs. Eddy was inspired to write: "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need. It is not well to imagine that Jesus demonstrated the divine power to heal only for a select number or for a limited period of time, since to all mankind and in every hour, divine Love supplies all good." Science and Health, p. 494;

The Bible has various accounts, showing how human needs have been met when men have turned to God as the source of their supply. Today students of Christian Science are relating at Wednesday testimony meetings and in the Christian Science periodicals how their particular human needs have been met as a result of the utilization of the God-given ideas which have come to them in answer to their prayers. Right, useful, productive employment is one of the human needs which is met in this manner.
