I first learned of Christian Science when I attended the Sunday School as a teen-ager. Since that time the flow of blessings has been constant and the healings many.
When I was a new student of Science, I suddenly experienced a severe pain in my side. My family and I prayed as we had been taught in Christian Science, but the pain continued; so the help of a practitioner was requested. The condition persisted throughout the night, but the comforting words, "Trials are proofs of God's care" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 66), seemed to be illuminated in my thought. I pondered them fully and saw clearly that here was my opportunity to use and prove the truths I had accepted.
Early next morning I was able to speak with the practitioner. Then followed a peaceful sleep from which I awakened completely healed and refreshed. Upon inquiring how long I had slept, I found it was just one hour.
