This is a testimony of gratitude for all the good Christian Science has brought into our lives. It was brought to the attention of my husband and me in 1925. We went to church a few times and purchased a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, but we did not take Science seriously and drifted away, until in 1941 my husband became seriously ill with a heart ailment and a related lung congestion. The doctor did not expect him to live.

One morning my husband called me to his bedside and said, "I know that I am dying." I asked him if he would like to try Christian Science. He said he would; so on the way to the telephone to call a practitioner I prayed to be divinely guided. The first one I reached did not even ask for any details, but said she would help my husband right away.

I went back and told my husband that the practitioner would help him, and in ten minutes' time he was in a peaceful sleep. He slept for about two hours. When he awoke he said, "I feel like a new person."
