Rusty Comes Home
[Of special interest to children]
It was an exciting day when Father came home from work and told Alan and Ann that they would would be moving to a new country. Because their father was in the American Army, they had been living in Italy for almost two years. They had loved Italy and enjoyed their school and friends, but in the part of Italy where they lived they had been unable to attend a Christian Science Sunday School. Now they were moving to a city in Germany that had such a Sunday School.
While in Italy, they had found a little puppy, and he had become a part of the family. Ann and Alan were very kind to their puppy. They fed him and walked him; and how he loved to play ball with them! Because of his dark red color, Ann thought that Rusty would be a good name for him. The puppy seemed to agree, for he always came when the children called him by that name.
At last the big day arrived! The moving truck came and packed up the furniture, clothes, and toys. Rusty seemed a little disturbed when the moving men packed the family's bicycles. How he had loved to run alongside the family as they peddled their bikes out into the country! Alan patted him on the head and assured him that all was well.
