RADIO PROGRAM NO. 210 - Easter and the Space Age
Announcer: The glory of the resurrection of nearly two thousand years ago continues to awaken in men and women everywhere fresh hope, joy, conviction. On that morning when Christ Jesus stepped forth from the tomb, the promise of victory over death became a reality.
Questioner: I love the Easter season, and people of many different religious convictions have a similar love for it. Easter means much to all of us, but in the space age we seem to have come a long way from the resurrection. Can you tell us what the resurrection really means to us today?
Speaker: It means the lifting of thought above the human sense of sickness, despair, sorrow, to the realization of the spiritual fact of the reality that underlies our very being. When a Christian Scientist uses the term spiritual reality he isn't simply referring to the human sense of things that you can feel and touch and experience. He means the spiritual fact of what really exists in God's kingdom, in God's reign of peace, joy, and harmony.
