From the time of birth I had fallen arches
From the time of birth I had fallen arches. This made it necessary for me to wear orthopedic shoes. At times the pain in my feet would be so severe that walking was very difficult. Doctors had said the condition could never be corrected.
Toward the end of grade school the pain became almost unbearable, but I had been attending a Christian Science Sunday School for some time, and I called a practitioner to help me. She gave me treatment for about a week. At the end of this time, I went to the store where I had been buying the corrective shoes. The salesman told my mother and me that my feet were so much better I no longer needed orthopedic shoes but that I still needed a good supporting oxford.
I realized it was time for me to put into use what I had been learning in Sunday School. I began studying the Lesson-Sermon from the Christian Science Quarterly daily and sometimes more often. With this came the peace and inspiration needed.
