Perception Beyond the Retina
Christian Science challenges us to perceive the nothingness, the unreality, of matter.
If this seems difficult at times, it may be helpful to ask ourselves this basic question: Would we know anything—anything whatsoever—about matter, if it were not for the testimony of the five physical senses?
These senses claim to provide mankind with all the awareness of matter that humanity has ever had, telling us that matter is substantial, has color, form, smell, taste, sound. They describe matter's panorama of trees and sky and earth and mortals.
