RIVER OF LIFE
As the pure freshness of the melting snow
Quickens the wintry woodland to new life
With rills innumerable whose crystal flow
Ripples in secret under last year's leaf,
So comes Truth's revelation unto men.
Breaking the adamant of ancient creeds,
It gently brings a softer season in.
New concepts bud—grow—ripen.
Thus the seeds
Of spiritual beauty germinate and flower
In ways that prove mankind may rise—here—now—
Strong in Mind's wisdom. Soul's impellent power,
And glory of a Love that, through and through
Man's being runs in never-failing strength,
River of life unmeasured, width and length.
