Words of Current Interest

The words in this issue are related to the Lesson-Sermon in the
CHRISTIAN SCIENCE QUARTERLY designated to be read
in Christian Science churches on November 20, 1966.

Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing (Phil. 3:16)

In some of the earlier and more authoritative of the extant manuscripts of the New Testament, the words "let us mind the same thing" are omitted. On the basis of this evidence, Goodspeed translates, ''Only we must live up to what we have already attained"; and Moffatt, "Only, we must let our steps be guided by such truth as we have attained."

Be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample (Phil. 3:17)
