RADIO PROGRAM NO. 240-Overcoming Strife at Work

Questioner: It's only too easy, even in well-run businesses, for conflicting opinions to grow into bitterness and strife, union negotiations, and strikes. Do you feel that there's anything one person, one individual, can do about strife at work? Speaker: I feel that the efforts of one individual to bring good into a situation can be very effective. However, I feel that what's needed more than anything else is for the individual to turn to God and to be divinely impelled in this effort. Questioner: How is it possible for anyone to be divinely impelled? Speaker: Let's turn to the teachings of Jesus. In all of his teachings he stressed the importance of brotherly love. He laid stress, however, not on the mere human effort to be kind, good, and meek, but on letting the power of God, divine Love, be expressed through us.

His disciple John wrote (I John 4:7,8): "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love."

Now, it's important that we recognize that God is not some far-off super Being, but that God is infinite, ever-present, ever-active divine Love, always powerful, always expressing His own loving nature through His child, through man.
