For many physical healings,...
For many physical healings, many inspiring revelations, spiritual growth, many so-called miracles in the development of my day-to-day affairs—all the result of my study of Christian Science —I should like to express my profound gratitude.
Once I fell while skiing. I was unable to stand on my left leg. The ski patrol took me down the mountain on a stretcher. I knew there can be no accident in God's kingdom. I repeated the Lord's Prayer, remembering that it meets even need. Then I went over the Ten Commandments. Nothing else coming immediately to my thought, I went over them again and again, in fact, all the way down the mountain.
I had asked my companion, who went down ahead, to have the car ready and to see if we could get away without becoming involved in the formalities customary when an accident has occurred. When we got down, my companion was there, and the ski patrol placed me in the car. Shortly I found myself on the way home. God's law had superseded all formalities, and the commandments are God's law.
