There is scarcely a day goes by...

There is scarcely a day goes by that I do not prove the efficacy of Christian Science and the power of God to heal. It may be in a physical healing or release from stress and strain or inspiration and joy in going about my Father's business in church or home.

Recently I awakened with such a severe pain in my neck and shoulders that I was unable to move. Instantly an article from a current Sentinel came to mind. The subject matter of the article dealt with our adoring God, and it said that we should adore Him while working out a problem.

With that thought in mind, I started listing the things for which I was indebted to God: Christ Jesus and Christian Science came first, then Mrs. Eddy, supply, protection, the opportunity to serve in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, and many healings.

The article also said we should adore God every minute of the day, and with every contact with our fellowmen. On and on I pondered this article. When next I thought of the illness, I had bathed and dressed and had prepared breakfast. The healing was complete.

Another healing I should like to share was that of a badly swollen and painful arm. I denied the error and affirmed the truth, as we are taught to do in Christian Science, but in a halfhearted manner. A few days of this and I realized a wholehearted and sincere effort must be forthcoming. Collecting the Bible, all Mrs. Eddy's works, and the Christian Science Hymnal, I went to work with them, reading, singing, and praying.

It was morning before I turned off the light. A few hours of restful sleep, and I awoke refreshed and healed. That was four years ago, and there has been no return of the symptoms.

My gratitude goes out to all those contributing to our periodicals and furthering the great Cause which Mrs. Eddy so bravely and unselfishly established.—(Mrs.) Dorthy Colwell Taylor, Astoria, Oregon.
