"Divine Love always has met...
"Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need." This sentence, written on page 494 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, has helped me so much that I should like to tell others of the ways in which it has helped me. A Christian Science practitioner had explained to me once the importance of the expression "human needs." God does not belittle the needs corresponding to one's present understanding.
Several years ago when our family was living in North Africa, it suddenly became clear to us that, because of the rapid development of events, my husband's job no longer related to the needs of the country. This meant that we must leave not only our home but also a Christian Science Society that was very dear to me.
At that time I had already had class instruction in Christian Science, and what I learned during this experience met my spiritual need. As a matter of fact, as I continued studying and progressing in Science, my husband was offered a position in West Africa. We went there with our children, and during our stay we felt God's ever-presence. We were the only Christian Scientists in the area, and we were particularly helped by the universal presence of The Mother Church.
