Good Is Not Concealed
Is opportunity a thing of the past? Is happiness a thing of the future? Are success and sufficiency absent? Are activity, appreciation, and reward unknown? Is health elusive or gone? Human theories, hypotheses, and opinions may answer all these questions in the affirmative, but Christian Science answers them all with a vigorous and confident No. It teaches that because such negative situations are totally devoid of God, omnipresent good, they are totally unreal, hence nonexistent. They are appearance only, not reality.
The statement from Jeremiah (23:24), "Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord," is a clear indication of the omnipresence of God, divine Mind, infinite Love, which of necessity precludes place or opportunity for any such depressing or devastating conditions, entirely contrary to God.
The Scriptures and Christian Science coincide in their explanation and exposition of God, His allness and oneness. There is one creator, one cause, expressed in creation or effect. It is an accepted fact that like produces like. Because this is so, God, who is good, can only be expressed in a creation—man and the universe —that is wholly good. "God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good" (Gen. 1:31).
