Over a period of twenty years...

Over a period of twenty years I was under medical treatment for a severe form of indigestion which often resulted in peculiar spasms and also for a very bad blood condition which subjected me to infection from the slightest cut or scratch.

My introduction to Christian Science immediately convinced me that God is the only power; so I destroyed my accumulation of medicines. This, however, was not enough, for I soon learned that there were many bad traits of character, such as jealousy, sensitiveness, and a false sense of responsibility, which had to be corrected before the physical troubles could be healed. With the help of a practitioner these healings and many others took place over forty years ago, and there has never been a recurrence of either physical condition.

More recently I again proved God's power to heal. As the result of a car crash, my tongue received severe lacerations and my breastbone and some ribs were broken.
