I am very grateful for Christian Science...
I am very grateful for Christian Science and for the many blessings which it has provided my family and me. For many years we have relied on our religion to sustain us in all circumstances, and it truly has been our comfort and guide. Over the years Science has kept us well, for which I am grateful; however, a recent quick healing of a very painful condition has made me realize the effectiveness of prayer to overcome physical ailments.
One Sunday and Monday I felt several sharp pains in my chest. By Monday evening I was having difficulty breathing. Tuesday I was able to go to the office, but that night I again was unable to rest comfortably.
During this time my wife and I prayed and studied to know that God is the creator of man and that man is God's perfect expression. On Wednesday morning I called a practitioner, and through her help and guidance I began to improve and was able to be at my post as First Reader at the testimony meeting in a branch church that evening.
