Two Friends Know the Truth Together
[Of Special Interest to Children]
One morning, while Bobby was spending the summer at his grandparents' country home, some of their friends came to spend the day. They brought several children with them.
What fun it was for Bobby to have playmates! Gaily they ran about in the meadow grass in their bare feet and played hide-and-seek among the trees. They took turns on the rope swing. When permission was granted them to go wading in the nearby brook, they collected their toy boats, sand pails, and shovels and bounded down the asphalt-covered country road.
It was a short distance, but in their eagerness to reach the brook, they began to run. Suddenly Bobby stubbed his toe and fell down on the road. His toe hurt so much that he began to cry. He went back to the house; and because he could not walk without pain, he was carried to his room and laid upon his bed.
