Delving Deeply into Heaven
There is only one reason why an individual has an unsolved problem, whether it be sin, disease, discord, poverty, or any other limitation of good. That reason is that he has not delved deeply enough into the kingdom of heaven within him.
Christian Science shows us how to do this, how to become conscious of the truths which are within our mental reach. Through Science we find our latent potential of spirituality and learn how to utilize the God-created ideas and qualities which comprise our real self, God's likeness. Our grasp of the realism of life in Spirit, wholly apart from flesh, grows firm.
Jesus made full use of the heaven within him. He recognized the presence of God's reign of law, which is natural to every individual. His first words of instruction were (Matt. 4:17), "Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Later on he said to the Pharisees, who thought of heaven as a future material state (Luke 17:21), "Behold, the kingdom of God is within you." It was the Master's knowledge of the infinite possibilities of harmony and power within every individual that gave him dominion over the outward errors which seem so plausible to mankind.
