"Ye are my witnesses"

In Isaiah we read (4:12), "I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, that I am God."

In other words, as Christian Science teaches, Truth is constantly declaring itself, Love's tender ministrations are fulfilled in uninterrupted activity, and Mind is eternally showing forth its infinite intelligence. Man, as God's idea, is the forever witness of and to this glorious reality. As Paul expressed it in his Epistle to the Romans (8:16), "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God."

There is no activity taking place that does not demand witnessing to God. For example, as the homemaker joyously performs her varied duties, she can witness to the orderliness of Principle, the harmony of Soul. The teacher who understands that man is the witness of the one divine intelligence will demonstrate the unfoldment of good in the classroom. The businessman, cognizant of Truth's omnipotence, is aware of integrity and fairness in each transaction.
