For many years I was a very...
For many years I was a very sick woman. I longed and prayed to be well, but finally the doctor attending me admitted that he could do no more for me. At this point a friend called to see me, and after hearing the doctor's report, she said, "Christian Science can heal you."
I asked her if she would tell me about it, and her reply was that she would lend me a copy of the Christian Science textbook by Mrs. Eddy. I knew nothing of this religion, but I gladly accepted her offer.
The moment the textbook arrived I read with intense interest, and I was at once certain that it was an answer to my prayer. After reading only about four pages of the first chapter, which is entitled "Prayer," I realized that I was completely healed, and I ran all over the house for the sheer joy of the freedom I had not known for years.
