Dwelling in the Kingdom of God

Many businessmen, career women, factory workers, housewives, scholars, political figures, and others from all walks of life may be found who today are serenely conscious of the kingdom of God. To one unacquainted with the true nature of God's universal and ever-present kingdom, this statement may appear vague and visionary, but this is not so.

Those who are familiar with the Bible will recall Jesus' words in answer to those Pharisees who demanded to know when the kingdom of God should come (Luke 17:20, 21), "The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you."

This kingdom, delineated by the Master centuries ago, is presently accessible to mankind through the revelation of Christian Science, which teaches that one enters God's kingdom through spiritualized consciousness, through the recognition of God's allness and goodness and the assurance that man is God's perfect reflection. Entrance into God's kingdom is therefore a mental process, demanding purification of thought from all materialism.
