Because of prayer as taught by Mrs. Eddy in Science and Health, I have been the recipient of many beautiful blessings throughout my life. I have experienced grave and serious challenges to my faith and to my reliance upon God. I have also experienced a constant beneficent enrichment in wisdom and in understanding of the divine law that governs and protects man and the universe. Mrs. Eddy states in "Unity of Good" (p. 24), "Man, as God's offspring, must be spiritual, perfect, eternal." Thus we are individually identified in the eternality of God.

Sometime ago I had an experience which proves that man is "spiritual, perfect, eternal" and never subject to so-called mortal laws or conditions. A swarm of wasps that had a nest under the patio attacked me on my arms and legs, which were exposed. Instantly my whole body felt as though it were on fire. But consciously I felt separated from this physical experience. Even when my vision faded, I was unafraid and sufficiently quiet to repeat the Lord's Prayer, particularly the last line of it, together with Mrs. Eddy's spiritual interpretation. They read (Science and Health, p. 17):

"For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.
