What a joy it is to find a familiar...
What a joy it is to find a familiar and favorite citation in the weekly Lesson-Sermon! It is like renewing an old friendship. One week when the subject of the current lesson from the Quarterly was "Mind," I was happy to read these words of our Leader (Science and Health, p. 283): "Mind is the source of all movement, and there is no inertia to retard or check its perpetual and harmonious action." I was reminded of an inspiring healing I had experienced through this beautiful statement of truth.
One morning as I was bending over I felt something go out of place in my back. When I tried to straighten up to a standing position, I found it very difficult to do so. I worked to know the truth of perfect God and perfect man, as we are taught to do in Christian Science; but by evening I found that the condition had not improved.
When morning arrived it appeared as though I would be confined to my bed. However, when the suggestion came from a member of my family who is not a student of Science that I would probably be bedridden for several days, I was alerted to call upon a practitioner for help. She said she would give me treatment.
