Thank God Before a Healing

[Of Special Interest to Children]

When John was able to sit quietly on a chair and listen attentively, he joined other children in a Sunday School class at the Church of Christ, Scientist, of which his patents and grandparents were members.

There he learned to love the Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. From these books he was taught that God is our loving Father-Mother, that Christ Jesus is our Way-shower, who healed many people through his understanding of God, and that we, his followers, should also expect to heal as our understanding grows. He learned to be thankful for the healing art of Christian Science and for all good.

When John was able to read, he wanted very much to have his own set of books. How happy and grateful he was when, as a surprise, a member of the family presented him with Sunday School Editions of the Bible and Science and Health, with a matching carrying case!
