Approximately nineteen years...
Approximately nineteen years ago, I had reached a period in my life when there were marital difficulties. I was in poor health, and there were two daughters to be reared. There were times when I used to look at others and wonder what they had to be happy about. Things were so bad I could not seem to find a way out. There were times when I even thought about doing away with myself.
Then one day, when I seemed to be at the end of my rope, I cried out in complete helplessness to God, asking Him to help me. A very few minutes later I received a note from a neighbor, inviting me to spend the afternoon with her. I shall always be grateful for that day, for it was then that Christian Science was presented to me by the neighbor.
Immediately I started studying the textbook by Mrs. Eddy, and the Lesson-Sermons, provided in the Christian Science Quarterly. I began to attend a Church of Christ, Scientist, and enrolled my daughters in the Sunday School.
