For many years Christian Science...
For many years Christian Science has supplied the answers to all my problems. However, at first I did not take much interest when one of our practitioners explained this helpful religion to me. I knew there was a powerful God, but could not see why I had to study and pray. When I was reminded of the words of Christ Jesus (Matt. 26:41), "Watch and pray," I started to ponder our textbook by Mrs. Eddy. Then I was impelled to build my life anew.
My progress was rapid after this step was taken. The light increased, so that I could see my blessings and be thankful and obedient. My first healing was that of chronic constipation. I had taken more and more pills. I threw all the medicine in the dustbin and had my complete healing.
Because I obediently studied the writings of our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, my understanding was unfolding, and I was able to solve my problems. As we read (Science and Health, p. 324), "Gladness to leave the false landmarks and joy to see them disappear,—this disposition helps to precipitate the ultimate harmony."
