Church Dedications

Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.

Owensboro, Kentucky (First Church).

Dedication services for First Church of Christ, Scientist, located at 1716 Scherm Road, will be held Sunday, August 4, at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Construction of the new church was started in 1958, and the first services were held on July 12, 1959. Official recognition as a Christian Science church was granted by The Mother Church in Boston, Massachusetts, in February, 1961.
