It is with a heart full of gratitude that I submit this testimony of the healing efficacy of Christian Science. About forty-four years ago I was physically and mentally ill and had been under treatment from a doctor for seven years. The doctor said I had a number of complicated diseases, one of which was consumption. I had been operated on for a condition causing pressure on the spine, and I had also suffered a nervous breakdown as a result of these conditions.

The doctor finally said no more could be done for me and recommended a book on Science which I could get from a Christian Science Reading Room. I obtained "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy and began reading and studying it in conjunction with the Bible.

I could not get enough of this wonderful, new truth. I was so lifted up in thought that I threw away all medicine. Rapid progress was made both mentally and physically. I happened to meet the doctor one day on the street. He did not recognize me at first; but when he did, he asked what I was doing, to which I replied, "I took your advice and am reading Science and Health." I was healed of all my ailments in a short time, and the healings have been permanent.
