I am very grateful to be a pupil...
I am very grateful to be a pupil in a Christian Science Sunday School and to know that everything we learn there can be used wherever we are.
On my job at a news agency one Saturday a very heavy skid fell across my foot. The pain was great, and I had to be taken home, although the men in charge really wanted to take me to a hospital for X rays and treatment.
I quietly repeated "the scientific statement of being," which Mrs. Eddy gives us on page 468 of her book, Science and Health, and which includes the truth that "Spirit is the real and eternal." After that, the pain ceased, and I was able to walk about, although with difficulty.
