At the first Christian Science...
At the first Christian Science service I attended I felt the love, harmony, and peace given out in the passages that were being read from the Bible and from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.
I did not take up the study of Christian Science for healing, but I know that God led me to this religion, I never quite understood what I was taught concerning God in an orthodox Sunday School. When I was grown, I went to different churches to hear what preachers would tell of Him. I thought for a long time that God might be like a mortal man; but somehow I felt this could not be true, because He seemed too faraway "to help in time of need" (Hebr. 4:16).
My first healing was that of constipation and came about just through my reading of Science and Health.
