A robin sat in the topmost branch of the tall elm in the courthouse yard. He was singing uninterruptedly, even though early morning traffic rushed by on all streets surrounding the square. The astonishing thing is that the bird's lovely song was heard above all the clamor. Those who heard it felt the spirit of happiness.
