Testimony of Healing October 3, 1964 Issue

It is with deep gratitude to God for our Master, Christ Jesus, and for our beloved Leader that I write this testimony of healing.

Early one December morning four years ago as I was removing clinkers from the furnace my clothing caught fire. Fear stepped in almost immediately, and I tried frantically to tear my clothing from my person but to no avail. I had on canvas gloves and removed them to try to tear my clothing more easily, but it did not help.

By this time the flames had completely encircled me and were going up my back. It was then that I remembered something of the truth of God and man as taught in Christian Science and the still small voice told me to run outside in the snow and roll. This I did; and as soon as I knew the flames were out I felt that the angel of His presence was with me.
