I should like to express my gratitude for Christian Science and its healing efficacy.
At one time the symptoms of an infection or blood poisoning appeared on my left leg. The leg muscles were impaired, swelling and inflammation were evident, and walking was painful and difficult. I had been endeavoring to know the truth and to deny the reality of error, and I called a practitioner for help.
One night while walking from my car to a function which it was necessary for me to attend, I experienced pain and prayed for a statement of truth to help me. I remembered, and was helped by, the first stanza of Hymn No. 139 in the Christian Science Hymnal, the words of which read:
