I am happy and infinitely grateful to have been able to demonstrate often the power of divine Love, thanks to Christian Science, which I have been practicing for several years.

Two years ago, toward the end of June, as I was joyfully preparing to attend my association meeting, I became seriously ill one evening while at my daughter's house, and I had to go to bed there. My daughter does not practice Christian Science, and, seeing me suffer, she took it upon herself to telephone her doctor and ask him to visit me. He diagnosed the trouble as a myocardial infarction and told me that I should stay in bed and have complete rest for six months.

Having had a practitioner called and asked to give me treatment, I tried to put into practice the teachings of Christian Science. I held firmly to these words of Mrs. Eddy on page 475 of the textbook, Science and Health: "Man is spiritual and perfect; and because he is spiritual and perfect, he must be so understood in Christian Science. Man is idea, the image, of Love; he is not physique."
